Review Us
Mom was so fortunate to live with all of you at PSH for ten years. She was very happy there and we are so grateful she had you taking care of her providing her with a caring loving environment.
I have had the pleasure of working at Phillips-Strickland and Boyd Place for over 10 years. I love the family atmosphere and closeness with the other staff members as well as the residents of both houses. The families of the residents become like our own and we look forward to seeing them when they visit their loved ones. I love it when our residents get pictures or newspaper articles about their families they are always so excited to share them with us and tell us stories of their lives. It always amazes me the varied lives our residents have lived.
To the wonderful staff at Phillips - Strickland House, On behalf of the family of Carlton Hammond we wish to send our deepest thanks and gratitude for your kindness and caring for Carlton for these past years. Mere words cannot express the difference that your support, tolerance, and caring made in Carlton's life and in the lives of his family. He truly loved being there. The food (of course), the entertainment, the social aspect and the respect that was shown. Carlton had many struggles in his life. It is a blessing to know that his last years were spent in much peace, safety, and care. Your efforts truly made our entire family's lives better knowing he was so well cared for.
Dear Kitchen Folk - Thank you for the wonderful food you make and serve each day. I have been so pleased to discover this fact. I want to mention the fish - All of the type salmon, haddock, shrimp, splendid. But yesterday's greens - were spectacular! So very good. I even asked if I could have seconds for dessert! So many thanks - Oh! How could I forget the soup? Really tasty - Perfect for supper.
To the Activity Director; I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to the wonderful staff at Phillips-Strickland. My grandmother, Fran Dembicki, lived there for several years before her health declined and she moved into a nursing home. She absolutely LOVED living in all of your care. Gram recently passed away. In honor of her memory, we would like to donate to the Christmas Fund. Gram loved getting her stocking full of goodies, and loved showing us everything she got. It will bring us joy to think of others opening gifts on Christmas in honor of Gram. We wish you all good health and a wonderful holiday season. Sincerely,
Dear Linda - God Bless you for all you do there at PSH and for all your kindness and attention to my Mom. Lee Hylond, my Mom and her family
Dear Senior Staff Members, I would like to thank you for the wonderful lunch you prepared for your dietary staff. The way you went all out for us, especially the nicely decorated room and set table with tablecloths and set up like a dining room. I will be honest. It touched me personally deeply. It was a gift to be noticed and appreciated in such a way. Thank you! Love the team! Sheldon, Julie, Janet, Linda, Lori, and Bruce. The food was awesome!
To The Wonderful Staff, Thank you so much for all the birthday gifts. You truly made my birthday very special for me! Your thought meant a lot to me and my family.
Dear Linda, Thank you so much for seeing that my mother got to play bingo and whatever else she was able to do. I remember how much she enjoyed making cookies when some of the residents joined in that day. Thank you so much for caring.
Linda- We would like to Thank you for the wonderful lovely birthday for Mom. It's not everyday that a person reaches 100 years. We appreciate all your love and kindness for Mom. You made the celebration very special.
Dear Linda Nickerson and the entire staff at P.S. House, A long overdue thank you for the loving care you provided our mother, Vivian Murray, for the ten years she lived with you. She loved the home at Phillips Strickland, as well as all of you. We are enormously grateful and sing your praises to everyone!! =) She misses you all, but she realizes she needs to move on to a higher level of care.
To the entire staff at PSH, a big thank you for all you do every day. You always keep a smile on my mom’s (Helen Avery) face. She genuinely enjoys living there. Truly you all go above and beyond. She always has a story to tell me and it always involves one of you! She smiles and tells me all about it. I cannot begin to tell you how much this means to me and my family. We couldn’t be happier about our choice to place her in your capable hands. Not only is the facility lovely and welcoming, the employees are first class. Thank you for always making her feel special. She so enjoys every day. Just yesterday, she called me all excited. “Wait until you see Facebook! We had St Patrick’s day dress up today! They took my picture and I had my pot of gold! Everyone was so much fun! That Linda made sure to get my picture!” It is a small act, but it makes her day. In this world filled with turmoil and negativity, you all rise above. You are a true blessing to my family. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! You always make the most of each day with the residents. Keep up the great top notch work!
Our Mom, Thelma Merritt, moved into Phillips a little over 10 years ago. It is tough to move from your home to a room but Mom knew it was the right thing for her. We were a bit concerned about how she would adjust but she set out to make it her home. In no time she had copies of the daily crossword puzzle copied for all those interested, started doing jigsaw puzzles on a table in the neighborhood and found there were ways she could assist other residents in their adjustment or by being a good friend and neighbor. As her family, we learned we did not have to worry about something happening as we had when she was alone in her home. Instead, any medical needs were quickly met but as important as that, the residents are treated as family and with respect for the amazing individuals they each are. Mom was there to celebrate her 100th birthday with her Phillips Strickland family, and celebrate they did! Not long after that, Mom passed. It was clear that her passing was felt by her neighbors and so many of the staff. The compassion and caring shown to the residents was extended to us as her family. We will be forever grateful to the staff of Phillips Strickland.
