The Phillips-Strickland House 13th Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held Monday, September 13, 2010, at Penobscot Valley Country Club, Orono, Maine. The course is in great shape and the competition will inspire you to play your best game. The real winners will be the residents of Phillips-Strickland House who rely on the men and women who play in this event to help raise the money needed for housing and care.
The tournament will feature an 18 hold shotgun start scramble. Registration opens at 11:00 with all players on the tees by 12:30. The field will be limited to the first 128 golfers to register. The registration fee of $115.00 includes greens, fees, cart, lunch, and post tournament awards dinner. Special gifts and prizes will help make this a memorable event.
In 2010, there is an opportunity for you to join other public-spirited sponsors, by supporting the event, and enjoying an afternoon of great golf. Your help is needed this year to support the quality housing and care provided our elderly residents at Phillips-Strickland House, where no one is denied residence because of an inability to pay for the care and housing. The waiting list of eligible residents continues to grow while funding for support of elderly residents declines. This golf event helps raise money to close a significant budget gap, and to insure that care and housing will be available to those most in need.
